Some inventory systems confusingly label it Base, but there's really nothing base about it. The Land Cruiser trim steps things up from the heritage-focused 1958 with additional comfort, technology, and premium touches, while keeping the rugged capability that made the name famous in the first place.
Under the hood is Toyota's 2.4-liter turbocharged i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4WD. It's ready for snow, mountain roads, camping trips, trails, and pretty much everything else the Land Cruiser name implies. Of course, there's still a very good chance its most difficult obstacle will occasionally be the curb at Costco but it's nice knowing you're prepared.
Land Cruiser trim. Not the 1958. Full-time 4WD. Turbo hybrid power. You may never actually need everything this SUV can do. But knowing you could is kind of the whole reason you buy a Land Cruiser.
